Diane's Bio

I hope you have enjoyed my website and the excerpts from my books.

Now, a little bit about me. I am the mother of two wonderful children, Elaine and Scott. Elaine is an Interior Designer and Scott is an Auto Mechanic. Now that Elaine has gotten married, I can add my new son-in-law, Kurt, among my family as well.

If you want to know where I get my inspiration for romance, you need look no further than my husband, Ed. He is the one true love of my life and my biggest supporter. We have been married for 28 wonderful years and look forward to many more.

As a graduate of Cook College at Rutgers University in New Jersey (I was Diane Bauer back then), I originally wanted to be a veterinarian, but my life took a different direction, and I eventually became a technical writer and now a romance writer as well.

I have two sisters, Dolores, my twin, and my younger sister, Susan. Both sisters live in Pennsylvania. As a result I have spent plenty of time in their fair state and it seemed like the perfect state for my heroes in Jenny's Passion (formerly My Enemy, My Love) and Lila's Vow to claim as their home with its historical past and wonderful scenery.

My historical romance, Secrets and Sacrifices, boasts a hero from my own town of Havre de Grace, Maryland and some scenes from nearby Ft. Delware that will raise the hair on your arms!

I chose to write about the Civil War time period because I have an avid interest in that era of our country's history. When I was in elementary school I had to write a report about Abraham Lincoln and then I saw Gone with the Wind. I have been hooked ever since.

I am a member of the Romance Writers of America, Hearts Through History, and the Maryland Romance Writers chapter for fun. And I am a member of the Society of Technical Communication for professional reasons.

Please come back and visit my website again soon!

Diane's Day Job

A technical writer since 1982, Diane has researched, written, and published many technical manuals and documents. From 1978 to 1982 she taught high school science. During 1977-1978 she worked as a cancer research laboratory assistant and, during 1976-1977, she worked as a veterinary assistant.

Maybe some day she will say her day job is as a full-time romance writer. One can always dream...

Ed Wylie

I fell in love with the most handsome racecar driver in the world back in the '70s. He drove sprint cars with the United Racing Club for my father and did very well. We have been married since 1980 and he has taken his love for autoracing in a different direction now.

Ed owns his own graphic design business and can design almost any printed item you can think of including business cards, brochures, pamphlets, logos, and specializes in printed vinyl. He can do signs and put vinyl on cars, trucks, and trailers, and...especially loves to do graphics for race cars.
